Thank you Tony Trungale and PrimeLending for including me in this group for the top 1% of Realtors in Austin by sales volume.

Loyal Lucky Magazine readers saw the March 2012 Austin Shopping guide amongst it’s slick pages.  Click HERE to view the guide.  When I was in Paris 2 summers ago- I printed out their guide and LOVED following the tips on cool shops for new and vintage finds.

Spring is in the air!

With all this chatter about the new IPad– my techie friend Michael Tritthart posted a great link to a website talking about Siri and how to use “her” more effectively on the IPhone.  Personally- I get so frustrated with her. She won’t listen! But I am reading through this list and am going to make a concerted effort to give her a chance.

In other news…Austin can let out the huge breath it has been holding for the last 2 weeks….SXSW is OVER!! It is wonderful having so many visitors to Austin- and inevitably folks fall in love and want to move here- but it is a BEAST getting around downtown.  Fun things are still going on- March Madness is in the air, Austin Rodeo is going on and UT kids are back in school.

Lastly, spring selling season is in the air.  Click HERE for an amazing search of ALL Austin homes for sale…save a search or have automatic searches customized for you.

XOXO

Oh my oh my—- this SXSW, I don’t know whether to love it or hate it? This city swells up like a tick! Insane!

For those visiting, here are some of my favorite things if you can pull yourself away from the people watching and music:

3. Local Shops: The Garden Room, Moss,

4. Food/Drink: Rattle Inn, Uchi, Russell’s Bistro, Mulberry, J Blacks,  Star Bar, Ranch 616

Enjoy your time here, visitors! If you decide you love this city so much you can’t leave, call me, I can help you find a house!

Good news all around!  For those waiting on the quintessential Allandale home to pop up on the market- wait is over.  3102 Hunt Trail is coming to MLS as soon (when the photographer emails me the photos)! DARLING 3br/2ba home on a large flat lot.  The owners have done NUMEROUS upgrades since 2005 including: interior paint, floors, kitchen counters, kitchen sink and cook top, interior lights, outdoor stained concrete patio, sprinkler system front and back, and landscaping.  Priced to sell at $299,000- I really don’t think this one will last. Open this Sunday, March 11, from 1-4 pm so go take a look!

EDIT: PHOTOS JUST IN!!!

I am taking a page from my dear friend, Julie Nelson, and borrowing her Taco Map for all you SXSW’ers.  This is a great idea- in fact I think you should try all these spots and report back on your favorite taco.  Working down the street from Taco Deli….it is hard for me to pick.

On that note- Austin Portfolio Real Estate is MOVING!! WOOHOO! Lease is signed! Thank you Diane and Melanie for spearheading this on our behalf.  What a WHIP! But work is getting started and we hope to be moving in a few months. Stay tuned for more.

xoxo

I am BEYOND PROUD of my brother and the launch of his own company: Clint Small Custom Homes.  I know as well as anyone, how scary, overwhelming and WONDERFUL it can be to be your own boss and at the helm of a company that you can lead in any direction.  Please click and read about Clint, “Like” him on Facebook and follow his tweets!

More importantly- don’t forget to have him consult/build your dream home.

Well here she is! January seemed like the longest month in history and February was a minute long and here comes March! A few random things to discuss today.

I take back everything I have ever said bad about Houston.  I am a convert.  Spending a night there this week for a conference for hubby changed my tune.  It is a HUGE, but fun city! So incredibly easy to get to from Austin- 2.5 hours door to door.  Caught the Houston Rodeo- KID ROCK! And took the rail line back to the hotel- easy! I will be back soon to visit friends here and this time you won’t hear a complaint from me.
Secondly- March = SXSW and alllllll the fabulous tourists and hipsters.  So I’ll try to to give them some tips to get around this fabulous city.  And for those of you looking for a permanant home here- strongly consider this website to search ALL available homes for sale in Austin MLS…and check back tomorrow for scoop on 2309 Forest Avenue, 78704.

xoxo
